The Palermo Schedule 2015-16

Less than one month to go before the 2015-16 Serie A season kicks off!The reality hits home even further as the fixtures were unveiled at the Milan Expo on Monday evening. Beppe Iachini and his men know when they will face which squad as they prepare to improve on last season’s showing. To begin the championship, the Rosanero will square off against Genoa at the Renzo Barbera on August 23rd. Iachini had this to say about the club’s schedule for 2015-16:

“It’s important to begin the season in the best way possible. In the first match at the Barbera, we await a wonderful match with a prestigious club like Genoa, but even the other adversaries that we’ll face over the course of the season deserve our utmost respect. I don’t like to talk about a lucky draw or an unlucky one. Sooner or later we must meet all of the 19 squads.”

Iachini has a valid point but it obviously comes with a caveat. As with any coach that sits under Zamparini, a strong start is imperative. The hat-wearing tactician was incredibly close to being sacked last season, yet Zamparini exhibited some new-found patience to persevere with Iachini at the helm and it paid off. This year, perhaps Iachini won’t have that benefit. Nevertheless, it’s good to know the draw as the new season approaches.
